Shore’s In His Element

Entertainer LL Cool J once rapped, “don’t call it a comeback,” while pugilist Muhammad Ali found that staying away from his craft was so difficult he made multiple returns to the ring.

For actor/comedian Pauly Shore, appearing as a stand-up act on Friday at the Casino Regina Show Lounge, he’s never felt that he left the action — he’s been around all along, just trying to do what he does best: make people laugh.

“It’s tough. I can’t lie and say that it’s been easy,” Shore states, explaining how his career has taken a full turn since his starring roles in the early ’90s hits Encino Man, Son In Law and Bio-Dome.

This is one of those films (Like Sasha Baron Cohen’s Bruno and the Aussie gem Kenny ) that is so convincing that its fiction seems more truthful than the average real documentary.
